never the basics, always the fancy stuff

kids don't want to stick to the basics. i've shown them how to start their blogs, and now they want to add videos and music and other fancy stuff.

i guess that means my homework over break is to find some good programs that aren't blocked in school that my kids can grab video and audio files from.

i'm also going to show them how to send themselves a video taken from their cell phone and upload it to their blogs.

i used this website: (http://www.downloadyoutubevideos.com/) to download a video (that i'm actually in!) from youtube, and then upload it to my blog. so as long as the video comes from a site that isn't blocked in school, hopefully we'll be putting videos on blogs as early as march 1.

yay! the video of me posted below was taken at the animal rescue i volunteer at. it's a video that's trying to help find a home for a dog (who has since been adopted) and also tells about how pit bulls are abused and used for fighting and how wrong that is.
